InfoLogix, Inc. Breaks Through the Point-of-Sale Barrier
New “Anywhere, Anytime” Mobile Self Service Kiosk Enables Businesses to Create Points-of-Sale at the Exact Spots with Highest Revenue Potential
HATBORO, Pa – April 16, 2008 – InfoLogix, Inc. (NASDAQ: IFLG), a leading technology provider of enterprise mobility solutions for the commercial and healthcare industries, announced today the launch of an innovative mobile touch-screen ordering kiosk, enabling retailers to reach customers directly at the point in the shopping experience with the greatest revenue opportunity, while simultaneously capturing new advertising opportunities and consumer buying trend information. This mobile kiosk is the latest breakthrough in InfoLogix’s line of Always-On mobility infrastructure products.
The new “Anywhere, Anytime” Mobile Self Service Kiosk, one of the slimmest all-in-one units on the market, measures just 10.1 inches tall and 15.5 inches wide and is only 2.8 inches thick, providing flexibility for mounting on a shelf, wall, counter, or on a mobile cart. By integrating the benefits of wireless data transmission into a single compact unit with a touch-sensitive screen, ruggedized casing and available card reader, barcode scanner or license reader, the Mobile Kiosk gives retailers unprecedented flexibility to set points-of-sale at the precise locations where they can deliver the greatest economic benefits.
“This goes beyond efficiency—it’s about redefining the optimal point of sale,” says Craig Wilensky, Executive Vice President at InfoLogix, Inc. “Imagine the touch-screen functionality of a self-checkout, information, or product ordering kiosk, in a form that can be placed wherever a business deems best. This eliminates traditional placement restrictions, allowing businesses to maximize revenue by capturing sales at the precise spot where a customer is ready to make a purchase.”
Based on InfoLogix’s innovative line of small form-factor, mountable, interactive computers, the Mobile Self Service Kiosk can be customized with software for specific business needs. Stationed at the order counter in a fast food restaurant to bust lines or upon entry into a supermarket for on-the-spot product locator and shopper club check allows consumers to take control of their shopping experience. In addition to allowing customers to place orders, make payments, or search for products, the kiosk can also incorporate extensive advertising and suggestive selling functions—providing an opportunity for a vendor to sponsor the kiosk’s cost in return for prime product positioning within the program or on the display itself.
The Mobile Self Service Kiosk can also gather and transmit data from customer activity, providing businesses with an affordable means to capture point-of-sale information on buying trends, preferences and behavior to immediately maximize stockturns, minimize inventory costs, and better project resource needs.
More information about the Mobile Kiosk is available by contacting InfoLogix directly at 215.604.0691 or on the web at www.infologix.com/kiosk.
