Healthcare CEO Summit Addressing Strategic Implications of Economic Stimulus Package to be Hosted by InfoLogix
InfoLogix Shares Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Strategic Cost Management Expertise with Hospitals Nationwide to Help Address the Nation’s Healthcare Crisis
HATBORO, Pa. – March 26, 2009 – An exclusive group of hospital CEOs from across North America, from points as diverse as Alaska to Texas, and California to the Carolinas, will convene in Philadelphia on April 23-24 for a two day summit to address the implications of the economic stimulus funding in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 for the nation’s healthcare system. In particular, the summit will focus on the strategic issues associated with deployment of electronic medical records (EMRs), a cornerstone of the stimulus package, as well as the operational and financial issues that healthcare organizations are facing.
Sponsored by InfoLogix, Inc. (NASDAQ: IFLG), a leading provider of EMR services and mobile technologies for hospitals, the summit will feature current and former hospital CEOs from across the country, in addition to Gerry Bartley, who as head of Healthcare Informatics Associates has overseen hundreds of EMR implementations over the past two decades; Mike Talerico Sr. and Mike Talerico II, who as the principals of Delta Health Systems have enabled hospitals across North America to improve operating margins by four to seven percent and save over $70 million in the past three years; Dick Vermeil, Super Bowl winning coach and longtime spokesperson for a major healthcare insurer; and leadership expert Admiral Tom Lynch, former Superintendent of the U.S. Naval Academy.
“In light of the intense public policy focus on EMRs and the corresponding economic stimulus funding, hospitals are facing an overwhelming array of choices for how to select, implement and maintain EMR systems to deliver on the promise of decreased healthcare costs and improved patient safety,” says David Gulian, President and CEO of InfoLogix. “In addition, hospitals are looking at how a unified mobile enterprise system can help achieve a wholly-integrated approach to both the infrastructure and workflow challenges associated with EMRs. Given the monumental challenges healthcare providers are facing, InfoLogix decided to host the summit to give hospital CEOs a forum to exchange perspectives with their peers, as well as share our insights from working with more than 1,500 hospitals nationwide.”
The summit will be held on April 23-24 in Philadelphia, PA. For more information, please contact Jason Fradin, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for InfoLogix at (215) 604-0691 x1194.
